Paul Lozano (Guadalajara, Jalisco, 1982) artista visual cuya práctica se centra en la expansión de la pintura hacia territorios híbridos entre imagen, objeto y espacio. Su trabajo investiga la materialidad de la superficie pictórica y sus procesos de transformación, incorporando estrategias experimentales donde la pintura se comporta como materia activa.
Realizó estudios de pintura en la Escuela de Artes Plásticas del Instituto Cultural Cabañas. A lo largo de su trayectoria ha presentado exposiciones individuales y colectivas en importantes recintos culturales como el Ex Convento del Carmen, el Museo Raúl Anguiano, el Museo Cabañas, el Museo de las Artes de la Universidad de Guadalajara, el Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo, el Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli, el Museo de los Pintores Oaxaqueños y el Museo Pedro Coronel.
Su trabajo también se ha exhibido internacionalmente en ciudades como Nueva York, Chicago, Xàtiva, Londres, Tampere y Banff, entre otras.
Ha recibido 13 premios y más de 70 selecciones en concursos nacionales e internacionales. Actualmente es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte (2023–2026). Fue becario del programa Jóvenes Creadores FONCA (2009–2010) y del Centre for Arts and Creativity Banff en 2013. Ha sido beneficiario en dos ocasiones del Programa de Estímulo a la Creación y Desarrollo Artístico PECDA en Jalisco (2011–2012 y 2017–2018).
En 2016 realizó una residencia artística en Arteles Creative Center y obtuvo el segundo lugar en el Premio Nacional de Pintura Atanasio Monroy. En 2018 recibió la residencia en Hannah Can C, el primer lugar del Salón de Octubre y el apoyo del programa PROYECTA Producción. En 2020 obtuvo el primer lugar del Premio de Pintura Jorge Martínez. En 2022 participó en la Trienal de Arte Latinoamericano de Nueva York.
Su obra forma parte de colecciones como el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Mark Rothko, Il Bisonte, el National Museum of Mexican Art, el Museo Raúl Anguiano, la Pinacoteca Atanasio Monroy, el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Sofía, el Museo de Xàtiva, Il Armadillo y el Museo Fernando del Paso.

Paul Lozano (Guadalajara, Jalisco, 1982) is a visual artist whose practice focuses on expanding painting into hybrid territories between image, object, and space. His work explores the materiality of the pictorial surface and its processes of transformation, incorporating experimental strategies in which paint behaves as an active material.
He studied painting at the School of Plastic Arts of the Cabañas Cultural Institute. Throughout his career, he has presented solo and group exhibitions at major cultural venues such as the Ex Convento del Carmen, the Raúl Anguiano Museum, the Cabañas Museum, the Museum of Arts at the University of Guadalajara, the Tamayo Museum of Contemporary Art, the Diego Rivera Anahuacalli Museum, the Museum of Oaxacan Painters, and the Pedro Coronel Museum.
His work has also been exhibited internationally in cities such as New York, Chicago, Xàtiva, London, Tampere, and Banff, among others.

In 2016, he completed an artist residency at the Arteles Creative Center and won second place in the Atanasio Monroy National Painting Prize. In 2018, he received a residency at Hannah Can C, first place in the Salón de Octubre, and support from the PROYECTA Producción program. In 2020, he won first place in the Jorge Martínez Painting Prize. In 2022, he participated in the New York Latin American Art Triennial.
His work is part of collections such as the Mark Rothko Museum of Contemporary Art, Il Bisonte, the National Museum of Mexican Art, the Raúl Anguiano Museum, the Atanasio Monroy Art Gallery, the Sofia Museum of Contemporary Art, the Xàtiva Museum, Il Armadillo, and the Fernando del Paso Museum.
