Camilo Restrepo (Medellín, 1973) es una artista visual que vive y trabaja en Medellín, Colombia. Ha realizado exposiciones individuales en Colombia y en Estados Unidos, y participado en exposiciones colectivas en América Latina, Estados Unidos y Europa. En 2010 fue seleccionado como becario Fulbright y en el 2011 fue nominado al Premio Luis Caballero, el premio mas importante en Colombia para artistas mayores de 35 años. Restrepo tiene un MFA en Arte del California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) y Maestría en Estética así como de Ingenieria Mecánica por la Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
En el 2002 fue publicado su libro La Foto de Identidad. Fragmentos para una estética y en el 2019 su monografía titulada Alias. Su obra ha sido publicada en libros como Historia de la Fotografía en Colombia 1950-2000; Una Linea de Polvo. Arte y Drogas en Colombia; Plata y Plomo. Una historia del Arte y de las sustancias ilícitas en Colombia; Contemporary Art Colombia; y Vitamin D3: Today’s Best in Contemporary Drawing de la editorial Phaidon.
Restrepo es además el creador del proyecto a ToN oF coke: la primera tonelada de cryptococaína disponible para la venta en el blockchain.
Desde 2013 es representado por la Galería Steve Turnes (Los Angeles, California) y desde 2023 por la Galería La Cometa (Colombia).

He has had individual exhibitions in Colombia and in the United States, and has participated in group shows in Latin America, the United States and Europe. In 2010 he was selected as a Fulbright Scholar, and in 2011 he was nominated for the Luis Caballero Award, the most important award in Colombia for artists that are older than 35 years of age. He holds an MFA in Art from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and a Master in Aesthetics as well as studies on Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Colombia.
