Research residency program 2025 - 2026

Location

Roma Sur, Mexico city

Duration

Duration and schedule determined in collaboration with each invited artist and researcher.

Research lines

The research residency program at Fundación Op. Cit. is structured around lines of inquiry that foster connections between artistic, scientific, and academic practices, linking creative processes with research spaces and organizations for the development and exchange of knowledge.

Residency through Institutional Partnerships

The program accepts proposals on an ongoing basis throughout the year from artists supported by institutions. All proposals are considered for evaluation during the committee’s review periods.

Selection committee

The selection of artists and researchers is carried out by the board of directors of Fundación Op. Cit., in collaboration with an invited committee of national and international cultural actors and institutions. Applications are reviewed and evaluated on a quarterly basis by this committee, in accordance with the criteria established by the program.

Research residencies are programs dedicated entirely to the research of a project proposed by artists or researchers from various disciplines.

Partnerships

The Op. Cit. Foundation’s research residency program has received support from institutions and programs such as: the Foundation for Contemporary Arts; the Meadows Foundation; the Independent Studio Program (ISP) at the Whitney Museum of American Art; NYU; the Austrian Embassy in Mexico; and Reach Projects.
