"Messages begin to arrive on clothing labels: messages that come to repair something. Consciousness is a fragile phenomenon and has an inherent innocence. Some uncertain and potentially sinister facts, stripped of intention, become kind. “Without prior, in other words, without resentment,” says one of the labels." -Claudio Iglesias.

These are some of the messages that constitute Chapter Zero of The City with Smiling Windows, an exhibition catalog that supports its words and images in an unconventional format: a special edition artist's multiple for op.cit. that is part of Segal's oeuvre.

The information that this book contains happens to be on the labels of specific garments that the artist has selected, and so its pages/labels are contained by the spines of the book's “jacket" ("camisa" in Spanish).

This publication will be available for sale through our online bookstore and by order at info@fundaciónopcit.org for pick-up at a dry cleaner's next to the op.cit. exhibition space in the Roma neighborhood of Mexico City.
